Motorola ThinkPhone: A High-Performance Smartphone with Impressive Specs & Features

The Motorola ThinkPhone is the latest addition to the brand's smartphone lineup. The phone was officially announced on January 5, 2023 and was released on January 29 of the same year.

The ThinkPhone runs on the Android 13 operating system and is powered by the Qualcomm SM8475 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, with an octa-core CPU (1x3.19 GHz Cortex-X2 & 3x2.75 GHz Cortex-A710 & 4x1.80 GHz Cortex-A510) and an Adreno 730 GPU. The phone is available in four storage options: 128GB with 8GB RAM, 256GB with 8GB RAM, 256GB with 12GB RAM, and 512GB with 12GB RAM, all with UFS 3.1 technology. The phone does not have a microSD card slot.

The ThinkPhone features a 6.6-inch P-OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of 399 ppi. The display also boasts a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The phone has a glass front and a back made of aramid fiber, with an aluminum frame. The camera supports 8K video recording at 30fps, 4K video recording at 30/60fps with HDR10 support, and 1080p recording at 30/60/120/240/960fps with gyro-EIS. The selfie camera is a 32 MP wide lens with HDR support and 4K video recording at 30fps, while the PRC model features a 16 MP wide lens with similar features.

The ThinkPhone is equipped with a 5000 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging support. The phone supports 5G networks, with different band support for the ROW and PRC models. The phone also supports GPS, GLONASS, and GALILEO for positioning and has NFC support. The phone does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack, but does feature a loud speaker with stereo sound.
